One of my favorite challenges is taking photos of birds in flight. I spotted this Great Blue Heron flying across a pond and started taking photos. I didn’t realize it had a Red-winged Blackbird riding on its back until I checked later to see if they were in focus. Red-winged Blackbirds are fearless when another bird invades its nest area.
