A few days later I was in a different area of the park and spotted a pair of Common Yellowthroated Warblers passing through on their journey south for the winter.
Eastern Kingbirds frequent the main meadow looking for insects.
One of my favorite birds in Forest Hill Park is the Red-headed Woodpecker. There are several families living throughout the park. This is a good sign as their numbers have plunged nationwide for various reasons.
At the bottom are small two male Bufflehead ducks and a female with a male.
